SKETCHCEMBER Day 12
”(notices that the name had a mistake)…fuck…ANYWAYS,Squigly…As a ‘passive' fan of Skullgirls I did get a teensy bit excited when she was announced…then i squealed in the inside.I'm not sure if it's her design, fighting style, or some other thing, but Squigly became my favorite character from the series(sorry Parasoul…).”
SKETCHCEMBER Day 11
"Probably one of the few aptly named robot masters in Mega Man history, Toad Man doesn’t stand out of the bunch..Making it rain on others, however, does stand out in my opinion. Sure he faded into obscurity like most most of the greatest in the mega man series did, but he’s made it a rain in people’s parade way before Kyogre did..
SKETCHCEMBER Day 10
"Was I obligated to draw Gardevoir? No,but everyone and their brothers are so into it. Personally, I’m more or less okay with Gardevoir than most people (personally I like Mawile and Froslass better)and don’t feel that exaggerated worship others. Despite this, Gardevoir actually deserves that
unwanted love she gets. Graceful, unnecessarily feminine, and loving;this pokemon is somehow important to most of us.”
SKETCHCEMBER Day 9
"Funny story, I used to own ‘Super Mario All-Stars’ back when I was a child and in those days, my sister and I would ALWAYS fight for the eternal player 2, the lean green machine: Luigi. I honestly never liked playing as Mario, not that he wasn’t good or anything, he was just not fun enough. Sure, he was the icon of the gaming industry, but he was never number one in my mind…or in my sister’s mind..or even in the internet. It’s always been Luigi. Take that as the opinion of the kid who’d always play SMB 2-player mode just for Luigi.
SKETCHCEMBER Day 8
"I have no actual back story that King Hippo ,I actually thought he’d be much tougher due to the attention he got. I’m just wondering if Hippo Island exists..
SKETCHCEMBER Day 7
"Wow…Curly just…err…ever felt REALLY liking a character because they have a really distinct and cutesy personality? Well..she’s one of them. Curly was a pain to fight the first time I saw her,the she began to warm my heart with how much she cared for Quote and the mimigas she loved. Sure she had to be saved some occasions, but she was willing to help when she could…not just sit around and be pretty…which she is..
SKETCHCEMBER Day 6
"When Yoshi’s Island became my all time top childhood game, this guy became my most loathed antagonist. Who would kidnap infants for a toddler tyrant? who would make it almost impossible for a certain group of dinos from reuniting a family? Kamek would, and in later years, would do much more than this. He’s the one responsible for how Bowser is now, so he is one of gaming’s largest yet most obscure douchebags. Overall,he’s that guy you love to hate…"
SKETCHCEMBER Day 5
"Team Fortress 2 threw an onslaught of colorful characters that we either liked or didn’t care for;but no one was as terrifying or as uknown as the Pyro. we all assumed he was just a masked arsonist with a feminine side that could lead to a flame induced death if we ever taunted for,but I never believed he/she/it could have such a dark side to it.When ‘Meet the Pyro’ , we saw a pyro nobody wanted to see,a bubbly, rainbow loving, confetti spewing maniac… I never hoped that he would reach a level that creepy…
SKETCHCEMBER Day 4
"Though Little Mac may be a little forgotten in the minds of many, He’s still a complete power house. I always imagined he’d probably lived a crappy life and entered the ring because he had hopes and dreams.Years and games later,He’s at the top of the possible Smash Bros. list (in my opinion) and probably will meet that dream."
SKETCHCEMBER Day 3
"Boy did I judge a book by it’s cover.Quote became quite instantly one of my all-time favorite protagonists of any game I’ve ever played. He spoke not a word and did some much, not even knowing exactly what to do. He is the pinnacle of greatness most protagonists wish they could ever hope to reach. Sure I was responsible for his death several times in my playthrough, but the greater good done by his actions compensate MOST of the game.”
SKETCHCEMBER Day 2
"Oh boy, where do I start? Yoshi began a large journey to my nostalgia with Yoshi’s Island, one of the first games I ever played or completed. To see this guy run, jump, and defend himself was great, since he did it all in a different way than any of the other Mario games taught me. Accurasy and speed were now a priority and jumps were no longer as deadly or as effective as I thought. I learned harshly just as he suffered, and his triumphs were mine as well. Each boss reflected a knew strategy (in a way, at least to a 8 year old) that had me look up their weaknesses and pull up a way to defeat them…overall,he and I go real back…”
SKETCHCEMBER Day 1
"To start this now yearly tradition,I’ll begin with her. To be honest she didn’t seem at all too outstanding but heck,to be the one and only female member of a large robot after many tries, IS worth acknowledgement…especially when your weapon is the most effective against a specific blue-clad robot.”
I don’t always take a hiatus from original characters and fanart
But when I do,it’s fucking awesome..
